ABOUT WODONGA DOG RESCUE ♡
Wodonga Dog Rescue is a volunteer-run, not-for-profit organisation dedicated to giving dogs and cats in need the second chance they deserve. WDR was established in 2010 and we have helped hundreds of animals find their way from uncertain beginnings to safe, loving homes. Our animals come to us for many different reasons – some from the pound system, some surrendered by owners who can no longer care for them and others just needing someone to give them a chance.
We could not do what we do without our incredible community. From our foster carers, to our volunteers, supporters, donors and adoptive families, every person plays a part in helping us continue Doin’ it for the Dogs and of course, the Cats as well! ♡

Four puppies abandoned. Two now in our care.
This week, four tiny puppies were found abandoned in a plastic tub that had been deliberately hidden behind a large concrete pylon and amongst bushes on the Causeway.
Sadly, two of the puppies were in such poor condition that they had to be euthanised due to their health issues. The remaining two have now come into the care of Wodonga Dog Rescue.
They arrived skinny, full of worms and in desperate need of care, but thankfully they are safe now. They are eating, being treated and will remain in care while they recover, gain strength and receive the vet work that they need.
It is heartbreaking to think about what could have happened had members of the community not happened to walk past and find them.
We are incredibly grateful to the people who stopped, helped and gave these little ones a chance.
