Well our amazing total raised on Adoption Day is in an amazing $1859.55!

This could not have been achieved without the help of so many people.

So Thankyou to Melrose Vets for letting us host our event there on the day, Kerry for the help pre event and the dog biscuits and Rohan for doing the free vet checks. Scott Harris New Age Dog Training, Lyn Lewis from Mama Beads with her amazing goodies for sale, Tanya Lewis for her help in leading up to the event, providing the Goodo guess jar and her help on the day. Sue from Cloud 9 coffee, Deborah O'Shea from Abernett Ginger and her amazing jewellery, also the cute cat toys that Deb made, Kimberly White from Furdelicious for doing dog pedicures on the day and her continued support of WDR, Shari Beard for her yummy cupcakes.

Our amazing Woofs the dog for all his high fives Thanks to Sarah Negrin for dropping Woofs off. Kirsty Matthews from Animal Rescue Fundraiser, Olivia Knight, Swaeden Knight and Stacey Gorman for helping on the WDR stands Norma Breaden and Robert Weeks for looking after the raffle stand all day. Alex Reynolds, and the Year 10 students from Remars Reds Catholic College Wodonga, Georgia, Claire, Darcy, Lui, Bain, Ferris, White and Adalin for looking after the children’s stand, Sandee Burgess and friend for the amazing face paint, Tania Quinlan from TQdogs for our wonderful Adoption Jackets, Jen and Wendy for making the trip all the way from Melbourne to spend the day with us and for entertaining everyone you got lots of honks on the roundabout, Mary Bray for dropping of some beautiful handmade bandanas to sell, Helen Farthing for the wonderful handmade cards.

Ellen Dodson from Marrellis, Kiewa Vets, Melrose Vets, Todd’s Tasty Treat's, Jo Zuber, Judy Clarke, Julie Raupach, Nic Anderson, Norma and Kim for selling raffle tickets leading up to the event. Thanks to Di from Todd’s Tasty Treat's for the donation of leads.

Also to David Menz for cooking the bbq on Adoption Day and to Keren Roy, Tracey Johnstone and Becca Edginton for helping with the bbq. Thanks to Karen Alston for donating the bread, Keren Roy for donating the ice, The Haus of meat for discounting the sausages and John Keogh for donating the sausages, Kirsty Matthews for donating the burgers and lollies. Thanks to Melissa Sewell and Leonie Yates for helping with set up. Kyle Yates for helping me organise the bbq and gazebos for the day and your help on the day. To Matt Ruddell, Nicola Jones, Stephanie McCarg, Jeremy Spalding, Annette, Joe Shaw, Haydn Semiea, Jodie Cawood, Sabrina Harrison, Tiffany Smart, Nikki , Zac, Pam McAuliffe, Judy Clarke, Ann Wagener, Alyssha Drummond and Melinda Gray for helping with looking after our WDR dogs on the day.

So much thanks to Maurice Adrien, David Menz and Nick from Elite Body and Paint for helping get the fundraising van ready for the day; it was a massive project to complete in a small time frame.

To all the wonderful businesses that donated to our Major raffle Anthony from Image Catchers, Memorable Hangups, Marrellis Café, Animal Rescue fundraiser, Jen Giggins, Aussie Pet Health Treats, Mars Pet care, Furdelicious, Catholic College Wodonga, and The Flower Girl. A very special to Rachel Menz who helps me organise the event (so a massive thanks needs to go to Allana Adrien for once again organising a wonderful event, such a massive task, Thank you!) and also hand crafted goodies for the day.

To Jim Toole and Shirley Giles who are at the pound every week caring for the animals. To the special WDR team on the day who spent all their time helping our dogs find new homes, Aj who is also going to have a massive job ahead updating the website and for all the posters she designed for the event, Dee, Peta and Ali who will have lots of follow phone calls to make, yard checks and Adoptions to process, Julia for her beautiful photos from the day certainly showed what an amazing day it was.

I know I will have missed some people and I am so sorry if I have.

Thankyou to our local media, Prime news and The Border Morning Mail who both rans stories about out Adoption Day two weeks before the event, it created a spark in interest and some pre Adoptions before the day, Also to the River and Star FM for advertising the week of the event, love your support Thankyou from all of us at Wodonga Dog Rescue.
